Outreach is an important component of this project. We believe strongly in working with stakeholders, and a majority of our effort is invested in capacity-building sessions and interactions with the Maharashtra forest department. We also engage with villagers, estate and resort-owners, grassroots organisations, researchers, and students. Since July 2013, the project has taken over 20 training and capacity-building sessions for the forest department in different parts of the corridor. We have also made a number of site visits with the forest officials to highlight important pinch-points for connectivity in the corridor.
